Nkoali Nawa

b. 1965, Goldfields, South Africa. Lives in Gugulethu, Cape Town

Nkoali Nawa started out as a gold miner before turning to art and obtaining a diploma and degree in fine art from Technikon Free State. His work depicts the daily struggles of impoverished South African communities and the harsh working conditions of miners.
